The perfect base to explore the Bay!
Rosebud Cottage is an end of terrace Victorian cottage in the heart of Wellswood and within metres of the prehistoric Kents Cavern, as well as local shops, cafes and bars, this characterful and charming cottage is the perfect base to explore the seaside town of Torquay, and the surrounding Torbay and South Devon areas. Less than a mile from Meadfoot Beach, and within walking distance of Torquay's iconic harbour side and marina, you're never far away from seaside fun in the sun!
With rustic wooden floors, the entrance floor features a cosy living room for inviting nights in with a movie. Two comfortable sofas frame the room, and allow for an inviting and relaxing space.
Further along the corridor, the dining room is the perfect place for family meals and for entertaining, and for catching up on the day over a home cooked meal.
The modern, fully-fitted kitchen is well-equipped and offers all of the home comforts you would expect, and those added special touches for care-free cooking. Equipped with a slimline dishwasher, electric oven and hob, the fruits of your kitchen labour are sure to fill the house!
Up the carpeted staircase, the first landing leads to a modern bathroom with bath and separate shower unit. There is also a toilet and sink.
Just a few more steps lead to the two bedrooms. The first is equipped with zip'n'link beds which can be configured as two singles or a double, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for two. Along the corridor, the spacious master offers a king-size bed, with plenty of storage.
To the rear of the property, an inviting courtyard which backs onto the cliff face is a great place for relaxing after a day of exploring the bay. A BBQ and outside furniture also makes this a great place to stay if you don't want to venture too far, and with the shops of the village of Wellswood just around the corner, you don't have to!
The house is set along a quiet residential street, just behind the shops and local cafes and restaurants in the village of Wellswood. 10-15 minutes' walk away are the delights of Meadfoot Beach, an award-winning beach for a number of years with a mix of sand and shingle. In the other direction, Torquay's picturesque harbour offers bars, restaurants and all the local amenities which make Torquay such a great place to stay.

My family recently spent two weeks at Rosalia Cottage in Wellswood. I understand that this is to be renamed Rosebud Cottage. I hope you will include my comments when advertising this cottage. This cottage is a little gem – in a perfect peaceful location but with a nearby small supermarket and bus stops (a good bus service). It has everything you need and is beautifully furnished. The owner Cathy was extremely helpful and we had a wonderful holiday. I would definitely recommend this property 10/10. Anne Lloyd and family via my son’s computer.
