Also on this level is the well-appointed rustic country style kitchen with a large range electric cooker and American style fridge/freezer to give you all the cooking and storage you need for your entire stay. There will be no arguments over the washing up due to the full size dishwasher, while the washing machine ensures that everyone is looking their best. The open plan kitchen and spacious newly built conservatory style dining room featuring a lofted ceiling, a seating area at the far end and a long farmhouse table seating up to 13 guests who can all gather round to enjoy magical & memorable family meals! Close to the kitchen is the utility room with a tumble drier and all the equipment you need to make your stay simple and fuss free.
On the ground floor are a further 2 double bedrooms - one with direct access to the garden. These bedrooms have easy access off the same shared corridor, to the downstairs shower room with WC, while there is also an additional separate WC next to the utility room.
With wooden or tiled flooring throughout, the ground floor offers accessibility for all.
The wooden staircase takes you up to a spacious landing where you will find 4 more bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.
You will appreciate the spacious 4-bedroom accommodation on this level, with two king size bedrooms and two double bedrooms, one of which has an additional double sofa bed. The master bedroom with a king size bed is a lovely light room overlooking the sunny back garden. Two of the bedrooms feature corner shower units and sinks - although all bedrooms do have access to the full family bathroom and separate WC on the first floor.
Once again stripped wooden flooring adds to the charm and elegance of this lovely characterful property.
All the family is well catered for outside the property too with an enclosed garden featuring a trampoline and swing set. In the summer the outdoor eating area, BBQ and picnic tables offer a warm, sunny spot for alfresco get-togethers.
Beyond the house, the true joy of country living can be experienced with a variety of friendly chickens and ducks that love to be hand fed. The fresh eggs add to the perfect farm holiday experience. When the time comes to rest in the outdoors, a simple gazebo is the perfect spot amongst the trees.
From the private entrance that is shared with the owners nearby house, this private dwelling has enough parking for several cars to the front.
The house is set in the beautiful Spaxton countryside, but is still within walking distance of the local pub, The Lamb Inn and just 3.5 miles from the local shop.

We had a wonderful time this weekend in your cottage, much of it was due to you and your lovely attitude. Thank you in particular for letting us help with the animals, which we all enjoyed. No doubt we will be back again. It was a great way to celebrate my 70th birthday. The Prince Family - 1st May 2017
We had an excellent holiday our party was 9 people and the accommodation was perfect. It is a lovely large well maintained house with plenty of space for all of us our ages ranging from 4yrs to 70yrs. The children loved the field with play area inc huge trampoline, swings, lots of outdoor toys and games even in the cold the kids had lots of fun especially having chickens, ducks, pigs, ponies all around in the farm. The location was ideal and facilities excellent. Peter the owner made sure we had everything we wanted including plenty of fresh eggs and logs for the fire, he was really nice and very helpful also letting us know about the area and farm history and local farmers markets etc. We would love to return again and would like to thank Peter for being such a great host would highly recommend to all families. The Bell Family - 14th February 2017

What a perfect house for a big family Christmas break! Warm, well equipped and in a perfect location. Three generations (and forth on the way!) plus two very happy dogs. Hospitable and attentive owners much appreciated. Very fortunate with the weather (or perhaps it's always as good as this in Somerset!). Great area for walking and for cycling.Wood's and friends families from Hampshire - 30th December 2016
Great accommodation for a 4 generation get-together, including the dog! Despite poor weather enjoyed lovely walks and great Sunday lunch at the Lamb Inn. Thank you for the delicious eggs.Anette&Barry+ all the family xx - 21st November 2016
Another brilliant holiday. We all had fun, especially the dogs. Visited many places + beaches. We will see you all again next year.John&Jane, Aster&Winnie - 15th October 2016
We spent the week beginning 20 August here to celebrate a 80th birthday and had a really fantastic time. Its an ideal place for a large family to get together. Very well equipped. Owners were very friendly bringing us fresh eggs throughout the week. Worth going to Kilve beach, Dunster Castle and the local pub (Lamb Inn). A bit isolated so you do need a car otherwise thoroughly recommended.Sue A, West Berks - 1st August 2016
Fabulous place. A lovely warm welcome and everything we needed for a long weekend away. The bedrooms are all large and the lounge and kitchen are a great size for a large group. We hope to come back again. Thank you!Rachel Milton, Aldershot - 1st May 2016
Just returned from a wonderful weekend at the cottage. The accommodation comfortably held 5 adults, 5 children and an infant with lots of space for the kids to play and everything needed to enjoy the company of a large group. The children loved going out in the morning to feed the pigs and sheep and to collect the fresh eggs for our morning breakfast. Spotlessly clean with comfy beds and well located. My 9 year old wants to bring his children here when he grows up! Only recommendation is to bring an eye mask if you don't want to be woken too early as the cottage is very light.Laura J, Hampshire - 1st May 2016
