Approached from a secure gated entrance and then via a well-presented communal hallway, the 1st floor retreat is easy to reach from the centre of Torquay. There is also a council car park just 30 seconds away, with a permit available for a week's stay at just £35 by ordering in advance from the council. You can order your parking permit by visiting the council website here.
On entering the elegant modernised Wi-Fi-enabled apartment, guests can immerse themselves first and foremost in the harbour views! The unforgettable backdrop can be enjoyed from the two beautiful sash windows of the principal living area and the two bedrooms (which are situated either end of the living room). One thing is for sure (in case you were wondering!), the apartment is very quiet due to the effective secondary glazing across all the front facing windows.
The living room itself is light and airy, with an open plan flow that is both modern and carefree for holiday stays. A fabric sofa suite with quirky trunk coffee table and pouf provides a restful nautical ambience for reading a book or watching a favourite program on the telly when you come home after an evening out.
The scenic room wraps around to a bright and inviting dining area, which is furnished with a lovely New England-style round dining table for four. A separate modern kitchen with contemporary fitted cabinets sets the scene for carefree meals-in. All the must-have appliances are provided for guests’ convenience, including a ceramic hob with extractor hood, an oven, counter fridge freezer, an integrated dishwasher and even a washing machine.
Couples can easily enjoy a restful holiday slumber by the sea; to the generously-proportioned master king-size bedroom with walk-in wardrobe. With far reaching views to take in across the harbour, guests will no doubt feel at home within the beautiful and captivating interior. To the other end of the living room, the second guest bedroom promises beautiful harbour views too. Furnished with two 3’ single divan beds, a wardrobe, 2 cane chairs and a pair of bedside tables, the room offers a flexible and memorable night’s sleep for two extra guests.
The layout of the spacious apartment is completed by a cloakroom WC and a spacious contemporary fitted bathroom suite. Equipped with a full-length bath tub, a separate shower cubicle, a modern vanity unit with sink and a WC, the serene family bathroom provides the perfect way to begin or end the day.
Outside, guests have private use of a child-friendly covered inner courtyard for soaking up the sun. The lovely space is accompanied by an alfresco dining set and a garden chair, ideal for relaxing on with a good book.
Enviably located, the 1st floor holiday apartment enjoys a prominent setting along Victoria Parade in Torquay. The picturesque harbour view location places guests within easy reach of the lively café-lined waterfront, where a selection of the finest restaurants in Torquay and a vibrant selection of bars can all be enjoyed. The marina and beaches are just a few minutes’ walk away too; for the perfect excuse to soak up the water-based activities, boat excursions and coastal attractions of Torquay.
A wide selection of supermarkets, gift shops and galleries are also in the local neighbourhood, as well as the popular shopping precinct of Fleet Street (just 10 minutes’ walk away). Easily accessible, the holiday home offers proximity to Torquay train station (7 minutes’ taxi ride away), the famous Round Robin tourist train, the South Devon Steam Railway service from Paignton to Kingswear and the passenger ferry service to nearby Dartmouth. The surrounding area is complemented by a treasure trove of National Trust attractions, the glorious South West coastal footpath, a host of beautiful parks and a throng of Blue flag beaches to suit swimmers, surfers, water sport enthusiasts, sunbathers and families.

Ideally located if you like a busy area with a wonderful view of the harbour . The secondary glazing was effective. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the tv and WiFi were good and lots of thought had been given to all the equipment provided. There was nothing else we needed during our stay.
