Just a short walk or drive away from the cottage you can find loads of activities to please every age range - Babbacombe Model village, Babbacombe Downs and Cliff Railway, Torquay Gof Course, Kents Cavern, Torquay United Football Club Stadium, Bygones, Babbacombe Theatre and a visit to the famous Hanbury's fish and chips is a must.

The Cottage has a front courtyard garden, entrance through conservatory leading into a living room with downstairs WC and stairs to first floor, on left there is a dining room leading to kitchen. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms en-suite bathrooms.
Entrance: Cottage is accessed from gate via paved front garden, through the conservatory entering the lounge.
Lounge: The area is furnished with two and three seater sofas with coffee table in the middle, TV with smart TV (Netflix), DVD. Restored beautiful wooden flooring throughout lounge and diner. In the far end of room you will find ground floor WC.
Kitchen/Diner: The dining area with table and 4 chairs is bright and has French doors opening to the courtyard. Gas fire and oak chest of draws where one can find some useful kitchen tools – cutlery. You will find some books on the shelves to entertain you on rainy days. To the rear of the room is a kitchen with modern, cream colour units contrasting with colourful tiles, four-ring electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer (60/40), slim line dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine (Nescafe Dolce Gusto).
Front garden: Enclosed, paved garden area with furniture for alfresco dining or just a glass of wine.
Bedroom 1 The master bedroom has a double four poster bed, two bedside tables with lamps, wardrobe, chest of draws, dressing table and full length mirror. Bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom with bath and showerhead, washing basin, WC, chest of draws.
Bedroom 2 – this bedroom has two single beds that can be used as one Super king bed (zip&link), a bedside table with a reading light, dressing table, full length mirror, chest of draws and a wardrobe. En-suite bathroom tiled, with walk in shower, WC, wash-hand basin and a mirror.
Parking: allocated space on the private road in front of the property.
Changeover Day: Saturday; Arrival 3 PM, Departure 10 AM
Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Discovery Holiday Homes with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
Power and Heat: Electricity and gas central heating, included in rent.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are included. Please bring your own beach towels.
Shop: 0.1 miles Pub: 0.1 miles
Short Breaks: Short breaks upon request.
2 medium size dogs welcome, other by prior arrangement (NB please bring your own dog bed).

Wow! what an amazing, beautiful Cottage! Really felt at home here, so did Lily our little Springer Spaniel! Next door neighbours (Ralpf+wife) really lovely and friendly too! We had lovely walks down to Oddicombe beach, met the local seal one evening laying on the steps by the fishermen. The weather was good, but we really enjoyed a lazy wet afternoon in the Cottage as so lovely and homely! We've had a great time staying at Makin Memories Cottage, your home is beautiful with lots of lovely things inside. It's great location for exploring Devon. We have visited many places during our stay including Dartmouth which is lovely town, Torquay and Goodrington great beach for dogs. We even went to Lustleigh in Dartmoor where we had a fabulous lunch. A little pub called The Cleave - we would highly recommend. We are going home with great memories of this holiday. We had a brilliant stay at Makin Memories cottage. It was a lovely property and great location. We had a great experience booking through Blue River cottages. The staff were helpful and responded to our initial enquiry even outside normal office hours. They were having some technical problems with phones the day we tried to book but they reserved the property for us for 48 hours so we didn't lose it. The communication from them was very clear and directions to property etc were very good. When we arrived at the property it was very clean with tea, coffee fresh milk and cookies awaiting our arrival which our teenage girls appreciated. The cottage itself was in a great location at the bottom of St Marychurch high street and close to shops/pubs and the bus stop if you didn't want to drive everywhere. It was clean and the decoration was lovely and you could tell it had been recently refurbished. The property had good facilities including a washer so we could do our beach towels and hang them out to dry for the following day. The courtyard garden was nice for sitting outside for breakfast or in the evening. The only slight downside of the property was that although it is set back on a private road it is close to a busy road which we probably noticed more as we live on a small cul de sac at home and don't really get many passing cars. I wouldn't let this put us off staying again. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody considering it we had a great family holiday here. Thank you Blue River Cottages. We've had a lovely stay at Makin Memories Cottage. Perfect location and beautifully decorated. Would recommend Cary's Inn, on the front (look for Samy the local seal). For a nice fish dinner try Man Fridays in Torquay - amazing sea food platter!! Dartmouth is a lovely town to visit - ferry was £11.50 return. Blackpool Beach £8 per the day - is stunning beach.
