Number 7 Bramhope Accommodation
Nestled within the leafy 200-acre Torquay conservation area of The Warberries, this elegant first floor villa apartment provides a prestigious setting from which to take in a romantic seaside getaway.
Dating back to 1844, ‘Villa Maggiore’ underwent a sympathetic conversion back in the 1950’s; transforming it into the exclusive apartment residence, now known as ‘Bramhope’.
Guests will find it to be a very pleasant self-catering choice, within tempting walking distance of Babbacombe and Meadfoot Beach. Set within 0.75 miles of Wellswood Village, the buzzing harbour and famous highlights of central Torquay; the apartment provides an accessible base from which a couple can kick back, relax, be active and sight-see.
From the private off-street parking space, guests approach the main entrance from the beautiful gravel driveway. The elegant period proportions and uplifting features of the Victorian villa have been wonderfully retained, thus providing an enhanced feeling of grace and serenity. Passing by the fine, grey limestone pillars of the main hallway, a grand staircase sweeps guests up to the 1st floor entrance of Number 7.
From first entering the well-presented, WiFi-enabled apartment, guests will feel right at home. Leading on from the hallway is a recently fitted kitchen, flooded with plenty of natural light. Providing every excuse to wine and dine away, guests will find the Kitchen very well equipped with a gas cooker hob, microwave, electric fan oven, an under-counter fridge-freezer and a newly fitted dishwasher and washer dryer. A lovely window seat also provides a scenic spot from which to daydream with a cup of tea, whilst taking in the sun’s rays.
From the charming kitchen, a spacious adjoining Living room with views over surrounding greenery provides an intimate space for inviting all-weather holiday moments. Finished with plush carpet to sink your feet into, a contemporary sofa with reading lamp, a flat screen TV with Netflix channels and DVD player, 2 reading chairs and a round dining table for 4, the sitting room provides a haven for day-night relaxation and enjoyment. A gas fire also provides added warmth and ambience during out-of-season stays.
Enjoying far reaching leafy views with occasional peeps of the sea, the very pleasant sunny master bedroom provides a welcoming room in which to enjoy a tempting holiday slumber, or afternoon nap.
The tranquil, romantic-style bedroom is furnished with a lovely double bed, a bedside table, a dressing table and a selection of wardrobes.
Next to the master bedroom, guests will find a contemporary bathroom fitted with a large walk-in shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and WC.
With such a pleasant retreat to call home during your stay, owners Anthony and Teresa look forward to welcoming you!
Situated on the lower slopes of The Warberries, guests are placed within yards of the No. 64 bus service into town. Those looking to enjoy a meal out or a shopping trip to stock up the kitchen cupboards are within easy walking distance from the greengrocer’s, pharmacy, Post Office, Mr & Mrs Jones delicatessen, the 'Naughty But Nice' patisserie and the Co-op supermarket of Wellswood Village. Home to a feast of specialist food shops, independent cafes, restaurants and the well-regarded ‘Kent’s’ pub, guests will find everything they need to complement their self-catering stay.
Also within easy walking distance of ‘Bramhope’ is Babbacombe Beach (a particularly scenic stroll away along the South West Coastal Path) and the Blue Flag Meadfoot Beach (home a friendly beach café serving summertime tapas and wine).
Situated three quarters of a mile away west of the holiday home, the cosmopolitan English Riviera resort amenities and highlights of central Torquay provide every possible day-night amusement and distraction.
The ever-popular tourist Devon destinations of Paignton, Brixham, Shaldon, Teignmouth & Dartmoor are also within easy driving distance, 20 - 40 minutes away.
The surrounding area is extremely popular with walkers, beachgoers, golfing fans, surfers, fishing enthusiasts, cyclists, self-confessed foodies and heritage attraction fans.
