Absolutely wonderful week at Driftwood Cottage. The accommodation was perfect - large kitchen diner on the top floor with incredible views, my husband and I were on the middle floor with our two children (who had a bedroom each) and my Mother was on the ground floor with her own shower room and a bit of privacy! Property was very clean and had all the things you would need for a week’s stay. Loved the little touches - I’d forgotten my daughter’s bedtime books but needn’t have worried as the bookshelf full of children’s stories would’ve kept her occupied for 52 weeks. Huge choice of DVDs and Now TV was also fantastic. Shaldon is a very pretty town - enjoyed the ferry over to Teignmouth and also the local zoo. The wonderful Babbacombe Model Village was a short drive away, as was the Exe Cycle Trail. Would undoubtedly return - wonderful!Johnsons - 12th May 2019
This property was also on Air B&B. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to find out from the owners that the property was also registered with you. Your staff are charming efficient and helpful. My house was recently burned down and with it my passport which was required by Air B&B. It began to be a living nightmare trying to book. There was no provision for such a circumstance and no way of speaking to anyone, which is what you need in such a situation. Especially as Christmas was approaching and all the properties were getting booked. Since the fire, I no longer have the use of my family home and with my granddaughter coming from Iceland to spend Christmas with us, it was vital to secure a rental property. We had the loveliest Christmas with some family friends who own a farm only 15 minutes drive from the cottage so it was perfect. We love your agency and God forbid that you should ever be eclipsed by the problematic and dehumanised Air B&B. There is simply no comparison with the service you provide. Thank you very much.Miss Maya Sendall - 9th January 2019
Driftwood Cottage has been perfect for us. We loved the views and the airiness upstairs. The cottage was very well equipped - just what we needed after a long journey. We loved Shaldon and used the very good local shops - long may they last! Trip on the ferry and Teignmouth was fun and it was the post-wedding get-together and swim on Ness Beach. Thank you!House Guestbook - 18th November 2018
Walking through the door of Driftwood was to walk into a calm, safe harbour hopefully giving a basis of strength to move into my exciting new home. Have loved every moment. Lorna & Brenda - 23rd April 2018
This place was perfect for our stay: peaceful, warm, great facilities, close to local amenities for us, close to the beach and the park for the kids to run around in/on.Wishlade Family - 27th December 2017

Ate in Ode, Ode & Co in Shaldon and Colloseum. Owl & Pussycat, Teignlandian Restaurant, Crab Shack in Teignmouth - would recommend all. Many thanks - a great house to stay in!The Davies & Bevins - 3rd September 2017
A home from home - sure a warm, welcoming house with everything you could wish for. We love the terrace where we had many happy meals, from breakfasts to dinners watching the sunset. The beds are so comfortable. Many thanks - we will be back! The Hurst Family - 11th August 2017
Lovely cottage away from it all in a lovely village but with a decent pub nearby. Spacious open plan kitchen area makes good use of the space. The house was well equipped and clean. The garden space is located down a small path away from the property, something to consider if you have a baby and no baby monitor. All in all a great place for a family break.Richard - 5th June 2017

Had a really nice stay at Driftwood Cottage. The location was great being just a few minutes walk from the beach, shops, cafés and pub. The house was great with good upstairs space for the family. The house was lovely, clean and well appointed. The hosts even went and bought us a high chair for our 9 month old son which was very thoughtful. Parking was not a major problem for us. Would definitely stay here again.Emma, Willenhall - 1st March 2016
Had the best New Year at Driftwood Cottage! Really spacious (7 adults staying), really clean, well equipped, cosy, and the owners Rosie and Greg had left us a bottle of wine and some chocolate biscuits which went down very well! The cottage itself couldn't be in a better location- a couple of minutes to the centre of Shaldon and the beach, and Shaldon itself is the perfect Devon village, really quaint but loads of pubs and cafes and of course the beach. Also walking distance over to Teignmouth (not as lovely as Shaldon but bigger and has the pier and Crazy Golf and more restaurants & bars). They had also given us some great recommendations. Everything was wonderful and would definitely come back, although only thing to note is that parking can be a little tricky as only one covered free space, although they do very helpfully list alternatives. Can't fault the cottage or Shaldon!Emily from Reading - 1st December 2015
A wonderful house set in the most amazing environment, we had a perfect weekend! Our thanks to the establishment owners xEmily & Lloyd - 1st October 2015
Here for a walking holiday. 60 minutes in 6 days, not bad eh! Combined age of 384! Very impressed with accommodation and lovely village. Our second visit to this beautiful, cosy and well equipped house. Thank you so much for the welcome wine and biscuits (& milk too, we love a nice cup of tea!) We have all really enjoyed a sunny Ness beach, pasties, ice cream, browsing the little shops and just relaxing in the pretty garden. Thank you so much, we will definitely return for more!Lizzie, Peter and family. - 1st September 2015

Just spent a lovely week away in Devon. We have family living in Teignmouth so visited often but never stayed in Shaldon. The house inside was beautiful, appreciated milk, tea bags etc being avaiable when we arrived. Only downside is parking if you have more than one car but there is a car park nearby. Thank you xThe Bates Family - 17th July 2015

Another lovely few days with visits to the beach, even swimming for the youngest! Enjoying the sun on the deck- in April! Combeinteignhead is a pretty village and miles up the estuary with pub, church and art gallery (open intermittently!) Coombe Cellars is a pub and restaurant right on the river bank with fabulous views.A previous customer - 1st April 2015
Thank you so much! Incredible stay: walking on the red cliffs; thinking that the foliage on the cliffs was reainforest-like and subsequently realising there were real monkeys there!!! Seeing my first pub-with-a-carpet. Incredible comfort of kitchen and beds also agreeable. Would heavily recommend the zoo to all those also like monkeys.Emily and Mark - 1st February 2015

We fancied a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of family life. Shaldon has been the perfect place and Driftwood has fitted the bill perfectly. The sun shone most of the time. So we were able to explore Shaldon, Teignmouth and Dawlish. We had a great walk along to Ness beach via the tunnel and lunch at The Clipper (delicious and v. reasonable). A real find was jack sprats in Dawlish. Huge men for light bites and full on lunch. Also, 26 in Teignmouth for coffee/cakes/lunch.We will be back!Pennie, Brenda and Suzi - 1st February 2014
