We had a lovely stay here. Enjoyed trips to Teignmouth Lido, Salcombe by ferry. Park runs at Park (Bovey Tracy) + Torbay velopark, Ness beach + River Dart. Ate in Ode, Ode & Co in Shaldon and Colloseum. Owl & Pussycat, Teignlandian Restaurant, Crab Shack in Teignmouth - would recommend all. Many thanks - a great house to stay in!The Davies & Bevins - 3rd September 2017
A home from home - sure a warm, welcoming house with everything you could wish for. We love the terrace where we had many happy meals, from breakfasts to dinners watching the sunset. The beds are so comfortable. Many thanks - we will be back! The Hurst Family - 11th August 2017
Lovely cottage away from it all in a lovely village but with a decent pub nearby. Spacious open plan kitchen area makes good use of the space. The house was well equipped and clean. The garden space is located down a small path away from the property, something to consider if you have a baby and no baby monitor. All in all a great place for a family break.Richard - 5th June 2017

Had a really nice stay at Driftwood Cottage. The location was great being just a few minutes walk from the beach, shops, cafés and pub. The house was great with good upstairs space for the family. The house was lovely, clean and well appointed. The hosts even went and bought us a high chair for our 9 month old son which was very thoughtful. Parking was not a major problem for us. Would definitely stay here again.Emma, Willenhall - 1st March 2016
Had the best New Year at Driftwood Cottage! Really spacious (7 adults staying), really clean, well equipped, cosy, and the owners Rosie and Greg had left us a bottle of wine and some chocolate biscuits which went down very well! The cottage itself couldn't be in a better location- a couple of minutes to the centre of Shaldon and the beach, and Shaldon itself is the perfect Devon village, really quaint but loads of pubs and cafes and of course the beach. Also walking distance over to Teignmouth (not as lovely as Shaldon but bigger and has the pier and Crazy Golf and more restaurants & bars). They had also given us some great recommendations. Everything was wonderful and would definitely come back, although only thing to note is that parking can be a little tricky as only one covered free space, although they do very helpfully list alternatives. Can't fault the cottage or Shaldon!Emily from Reading - 1st December 2015
A wonderful house set in the most amazing environment, we had a perfect weekend! Our thanks to the establishment owners xEmily & Lloyd - 1st October 2015
Here for a walking holiday. 60 minutes in 6 days, not bad eh! Combined age of 384! Very impressed with accommodation and lovely village. Excellent meets at Clipper and The London Inn where we came fourth in the quiz. Special recommendation for Courtenays Cove Cafe in Babbacombe.Linda and friends - 1st September 2015
We stayed for four nights and we really enjoyed the place, the area was nice and the house breathtaking. The owner was so kind with us and extended our checkout to the afternoon. The house was very clean and tidy.Waleed Aljaberi from United Arab Emirates - 1st September 2015
Our second visit to this beautiful, cosy and well equipped house. Thank you so much for the welcome wine and biscuits (& milk too, we love a nice cup of tea!) We have all really enjoyed a sunny Ness beach, pasties, ice cream, browsing the little shops and just relaxing in the pretty garden. Thank you so much, we will definitely return for more!Lizzie, Peter and family. - 1st September 2015

Just spent a lovely week away in Devon. We have family living in Teignmouth so visited often but never stayed in Shaldon. The house inside was beautiful, appreciated milk, tea bags etc being avaiable when we arrived. Only downside is parking if you have more than one car but there is a car park nearby. Thank you xThe Bates Family - 17th July 2015

Another lovely few days with visits to the beach, even swimming for the youngest! Enjoying the sun on the deck- in April! Combeinteignhead is a pretty village and miles up the estuary with pub, church and art gallery (open intermittently!) Coombe Cellars is a pub and restaurant right on the river bank with fabulous views.A previous customer - 1st April 2015
Thank you so much! Incredible stay: walking on the red cliffs; thinking that the foliage on the cliffs was reainforest-like and subsequently realising there were real monkeys there!!! Seeing my first pub-with-a-carpet. Incredible comfort of kitchen and beds also agreeable. Would heavily recommend the zoo to all those also like monkeys.Emily and Mark - 1st February 2015

We were here celebrating my father's 80th Birthday. We were very lucky to have good weather throughout and visited a lot of the area including the Dartmouth Steam Railway, where my father rode on the footplate! We enjoyed staying in your house very much, especially the light airy feel, and the comfort of the beds.Thank You.Burleigh Family - 1st March 2014
We fancied a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of family life. Shaldon has been the perfect place and Driftwood has fitted the bill perfectly. The sun shone most of the time. So we were able to explore Shaldon, Teignmouth and Dawlish. We had a great walk along to Ness beach via the tunnel and lunch at The Clipper (delicious and v. reasonable). A real find was jack sprats in Dawlish. Huge men for light bites and full on lunch. Also, 26 in Teignmouth for coffee/cakes/lunch.We will be back!Pennie, Brenda and Suzi - 1st February 2014
