Situated in the quiet back water of Shaldon village, this newly renovated two storey period cottage offers luxury self-catering accommodation for groups of up to five.
Double doors from the living area open out onto a pretty courtyard dining area, ideal for alfresco dining.
The coastal retreat boasts an open plan living and dining room with a flat screen TV, plush sofas, Wifi and a romantic wood burning fire, with a basket of logs provided.
The country cottage-meets-modern home is fitted with a contemporary and fully-equipped kitchen, including a spacious dining area which sits up to 5 people.
There is also a small utility room with a wash dryer under the stairs.
A wooden staircase leads to accommodation suitable for couples, groups, families or children. Each bedroom boasts a fresh nautical feel.
The master king size bedroom is exceptionally spacious and enjoys a high sloping ceiling and luxury en-suite bathroom fitted in natural stone, with a bathtub to boot.
Another bedroom on this floor is ideal for older children with a single bed, and separate access to the master en-suite bathroom through a second door.
The open space upper floor bedroom features twin beds which can conveniently be arranged into a king size bed upon request. The room is complemented by a luxury en-suite shower room with a power shower.
The heating system is zoned over the three floors and towel rails can be managed independently of the heating system.
From this quiet location, guests can easily reach Shaldon's shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés. The fabulous beach is just 1 minute's walking distance from the coastal cottage, providing the perfect place for seaside picnics, swimming, water sports and exploring nearby coastal paths. Alternatively guests can catch the small ferry across the estuary to Teignmouth.
Access is easy by road, rail and Exeter Airport (all mainline stations to Teignmouth or Newton Abbot). The owners can also collect you from the train station, if required.

Was great to find the cottage was decorated for Christmas! I was dissapointed that, despite the cottage not being booked the following week, our request to shift to a Sunday to Sunday booked was denied.Mrs Anna Botsford - 4th January 2019
It was very comfortable and we loved it. It's so near the beach and the shops and restaurants of Shaldon too, we had a great week.Mrs sarah wheatley - 7th August 2018
A really well-furnished cottage with everything in it being modern and good quality. Great location so near to the beach and water front. Lovely village with a proper village feel, not overcrowded or tacky. The Hobbs Family - 12th August 2017

We had a great time at Coastguard Cottage. It is functional, warm and clean and provides all the basics needed for a great holiday. One thing: The loos don't flush particularly well which can be a problem when there are a lot of people....Ingrid, Brighton - 1st May 2016
We liked the cottage very much. It has a great position, was extremely well set up, and was very clean and inviting. The tasteful Christmas decorations were indicative of the thought given to presenting this property. Our only tip would be to check the light bulbs at changeover.Jane Haycock, Australia - 1st January 2016
