Welcome to The Buccaneer Inn on Babbacombe Downs in Torquay. Situated in a stunning location on the cliff top promenade with far reaching views across Lyme Bay.
On the first floor above the pub are two 5* bedrooms, The Schooner Room and The Sloop Room, perfect for a room break with a difference. You can't help but be drawn to the large windows and the 180° sea views from each of the rooms along with the lively atmosphere of Babbacombe Downs.
The Schooner Room is 'roomy' with an extremely comfortable king size bed and en-suite shower room. There is an additional seating area with bar stools & table which enjoys 180° sea views overlooking the Babbacombe Downs and Lyme Bay. What better way to enjoy an aperitif before dinner! There is also an electric kettle with tea & coffee making facilities plus a small fridge & microwave for your convenience.
The Buccaneer is a family run pub where you will always find a very warm welcome. Serving a range of St. Austell cask conditioned ales and keg beers & ciders plus a selection of wines, spirits & soft drinks, and from March 2012 a new menu combining traditional fayre with a speciality hand-made burger selection and specials such as local sea-food.
Tasteful live music is staged once a week in peak season (finishing at 11pm) and before you ask, the background noise in the bedrooms is surprisingly low due to extensive sound-proofing. For those wanting to enjoy the Buccaneer to the full, you can join in with the fun below and make use of the facilities the pub has to offer. For those who just want a luxury room in a superb location then you can utilise the accommodations separate entrance and experience the full privacy you desire.

Short breaks
There is a minimum stay of 3 nights in The Schooner Room. The seasonal tariffs are £49 & £69 per room, per night depending on the time of the year.
Both the Schooner & Sloop are luxury pub rooms with free Wi-Fi, tea & coffee making facilities, a microwave oven & fridge.
There is a public car park on Princess Street, behind The Buccaneer and the daily rates are quite cheap otherwise there is free street parking in & around the local streets.
The daily 24 hour car parking rate is £8.00 and overnight parking is £2.00 (purchased after 6pm and is valid until 10am the next morning. Otherwise there are residential roads where you may find a free parking space.
