There are amazing views of all parts of Meadfoot beach and across to Brixham from the windows of this top floor, immaculate apartment in Hesketh Crescent.
The property is light and airy with a large lounge and a well equipped kitchen with under-the-counter fridge, washing machine, freezer, and compact sized dishwasher.
The apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The very large master bedroom suite has a Super King bed and en suite bathroom. There is also a twin bedded room and a smaller third bedroom which has a double bed with access to the bed from one side only as the other side is very close to the window wall.
The owner, Yuliya, is very helpful and friendly and has obviously thought about the needs of family groups with young children as there were a number of useful items such as colouring mats, plastic cups, cutlery, dishes and plates, a couple of small sized chairs, a highchair and a travel cot. There is a storage area at the top of the stairs just outside the apartment's front door where shoes, beach toys and sandy clothes/towels can be left. (The apartment has a no shoes policy.)
Parking in Hesketh Crescent is for the guests of the hotel and the Osborne Club (the outdoor poor is also reserved for these people). However there are other parking spaces very close by and it is possible to drive to the far end of the Crescent, where the apartment is located, to unload and load.
The nearby Meadfoot Beach is extremely pebbly (water shoes or flip-flops/Crocs are essential) and the sand is coarse and not very good for making sandcastles, but there are lots of interesting rock pools to explore at low tide. The beach disappears almost entirely at high tide!
We had a super holiday and would highly recommend this apartment.

Interesting Fact or Question?

Villa Syracusa

Did you know that from the penthouse balcony of The Lighthouse Torquay, you can see 'Villa Syracusa' (now The Headland Hotel), originally built as a private holiday home for the noble Russian Romanoff family who frequently entertained the Russian Royal Family there.

 1906

The late 19th century was Torquay's Golden age when the town became increasingly popular amongst the rich and privileged of Europe. In August 1864, the Prince of Wales visited the Grand Duchess Maria of Russia while she was staying at the Villa Syracusa, amongst her party staying at the villa was the Count Gregoire Stroganoff and Countess Alexandra Tolstoy, the wife of noted novelist Leo Tolstoy.

Regency splendour and breath-taking views make this newly refurbished penthouse an exclusive 5* holiday setting in Torquay.

“The unique opportunity that awaits guests staying at The Lighthouse, is being the first at Hesketh Crescent to greet the sunrise at and the last say goodbye to the setting sun” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

Situated on the top floor of the end terrace house, this panoramic apartment accommodates groups and families seeking a discerning English Riviera escape.

The elegant penthouse provides a sanctuary in which to unwind and entertain, with sea views across Meadfoot Beach and towards Berryhead, Shag Rock and Thatcher Rock complementing the contemporary cum period-style interior.

“Even if it's not sunny outside ~ it’s an incredible experience watching the drama of stormy weather, as powerful waves crash against the seawalls delivering sea spray right up to the Lighthouse windows!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

The spacious living room boasts a flat screen TV, DVD & CD player, sumptuous seating and free Wi-Fi.

“After dinner, relax in our cosy lounge and enjoy the twinkling lights of Torquay, Paignton & Brixham across the bay! When the sun shines, open a window and fill the apartment with sea air!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

The open plan layout features a chic fully-equipped kitchen diner.

“The dining room boasts an equally fantastic view ~ prehistoric in its formation, possibly not having changed for centuries!” Yuliya & Laurence, The Lighthouse owners.

Sleeping acccommodation
The sleeping accommodation offers boutique-style comfort for groups of up to 6 guests.

A sea view master bedroom furnished with a super-king size bed and luxury en-suite with an oval bath and separate shower, oozes tranquillity for couples.
