Only a short walk away is the unspoiled grassy Tankerton slopes with uninterrupted views out to sea. The promenade is bordered by colourful beach huts and pebble beaches and is a lovely route to walk into Whitstable harbour and town.

The charming seaside town of Whitstable is located in the Northeast of Kent. The town is situated approximately five miles north of the city of Canterbury and two miles west of Herne Bay. From the seashore, the town of Whitstable also boasts excellent views of the Isle of Sheppey which is only a short distance away.

One of the main characteristics of the quaint town of Whitstable is the booming oyster business that it has all year round. Oyster harvesting started in the Roman times and is a continued pastime in the town of Whitstable, as well as providing the local bars and restaurants with fresh oysters and other seafood daily, Whitstable also celebrates the importance of oyster to their town with a festival.

Whitstable prides itself on its authentic and slightly bohemian charm which provides guests with a unique and welcoming feel you don’t always find in big cities.
