A fabulous coastal retreat in delightful Devon!

Situated in a quaint quiet back water of the vibrant coastal village of Shaldon, this newly renovated two storey period cottage offers contemporary and luxury self-catering accommodation for groups of up to six!

The beautiful coastal retreat boasts a welcoming feel throughout and a well-balanced ambience of stylish cottage-meets-modern home.

The open plan living and dining room provides the perfect place in which to unwind after a coastal ramble with a flat screen TV, a pair of comfortable sofas, Wi-Fi access and a stylish wood burning inset fire to cosy up to for warm and romantic evening in. We are also very happy to provide wood if required.

A contemporary kitchen fitted with sleek white cabinets and a full range of appliances provides the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of cooking delicious home cooked meals during your stay, with an eye level oven, microwave, induction hob and a spacious dining area which sits up to 6 people.

Double doors from the living area, open directly out onto a pretty potted courtyard with a small outdoor dining area, ideal for enjoying leisurely lunches and alfresco dinner parties.

From the open plan living room a wooden staircase leads to the upper accommodation floor which is flexible and versatile enough to suit couples staying together, groups or families with children. Each bedroom has been decorated in a fresh and nautical feel to allow guests to enjoy a restful and tranquil sleep during their seaside stay.

The master king size bedroom on the first floor is exceptionally spacious and enjoys a high sloping ceiling with a dressing table, bedside cabinets, wardrobe space and a luxury en-suite bathroom, fitted in natural stone and features a bath tub, wash basin and WC.

A second bedroom on the second floor is flexibly furnished with a set of twin beds, which can be conveniently arranged into a king size bed upon request to accommodate an additional couple. A luxury en-suite shower room with power shower also features to the second bedroom.

The cottage benefits from a third bedroom on the first floor ideal for children, with a set of modern bunk beds and separate access to the master en-suite bathroom through a second door.

Guests can further enjoy the convenience of a small under stairs utility room with washer dryer which also features to the cottage.

The heating system is zoned over the three floors and towel rails can be managed independently of the heating system.

From the charming and quiet back street location, guests can easily enjoy the wide range of local village amenities available in Shaldon; including shops, local pubs, restaurants and numerous cafés. The fabulous beach is also just a 1 minutes walking distance from the coastal cottage, providing the perfect place for seaside picnics, swimming, watersports and also the ideal spot from which to explore the nearby coastal paths or alternatively catch the small ferry that takes you across the estuary to the seaside town of Teignmouth.

Access is is easy by road, rail and Exeter Airport (South West Trains, Virgin, Great Western and all main line stations to Teignmouth or Newton Abbot). The owners can also arrange arrange to collect you from the train station, if required.
